Remembering Dad

Family meant everything to our Dad, Edward J. Mulroy (Ted) of Glen Mills, PA. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Ted was the son of the late Edward and Helen Mulroy. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa (Chikotas); daughters, Patricia Mulroy (Jean), Kathleen Rowe (Kevin), and sons Ted Mulroy (Kelly); Mark Mulroy (Bridget); 11 grandchildren, Kevin, Sean, Samantha, Jacqueline, Daro, Kera, Brooke, Tyler, Ryan, Madelyn and Jack; and 7 great-grandchildren; Caelan, Brianna, Braydon, Camryn, Abby, Leighton Edward  and Logan.

He grew up in Ashland, Pennsylvania and graduated from Malvern Prep. He spent time at Villanova before serving in the US Army. Throughout his life he was active in his community; serving his church, youth athletics and the youth aide panel of Sharon Hill. He was kind and generous. He was always the life of the party and an engaging story-teller; most notable were his adventures as Ted-the-Toe. He recounted many of his beloved childhood memories and passed on his own fathers ball-in-the-wall and other magic tricks to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition, he was known for knock-knock jokes, his one-handed set-shot, his pre-swing golf routine, and teaching his grandkids to swim. He was a champion at pickle ball - and was a gold-medal winner in the senior olympics with his talented team-mates.

His legacy will live on as we all pass along his enthusiasm, kindness and love of life! Our Dad, Grandpop, Ted will live on in each of us. May we honor him by bringing the best in us to the world each day.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass Thursday 10:00 AM at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd., Chads Ford, PA 19317, where friends may call from 8:30 AM Thursday at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Little Sisters of the Poor.
